    How to Submit a Print Ready File

    File Formats

    Our preferred file format for printing is PDF, especially if it’s for a large print. The next best formats are, AI, EPS, SVG, INDD, PSD. Although we accept JPEG and PNG, it is not recommended. If you choose to use these options, please make sure it is high resolution (300dpi). Please do not submit word.doc files.

    Artwork Requirements

    When sending artwork please make sure the file colour is in CMYK, and the file resolution is a minimum of 300 dpi. This will help with the quality of your project. We also ask that you have a 0.125” bleed and crop marks. (See also, bleed and margins)

    File Size

    When creating your file please make sure the artwork is the size you would like printed. An additional graphic design fee will be added if the file requires resizing.

    File Packaging

    If you are sending a working file, please provide all fonts and images so nothing is missing from the artwork.

    Bleed and Margins

    If your artwork has an image or background that comes off the edges of the page we ask that you save the file with a 0.125” bleed and crop marks. Don’t know what a bleed is? See below for an example.

    Safety Zone

    Keep images and text within the margins to prevent them from being chopped off in the trimming process. Minimum safety is 0.125” from the cut line.

    Cut Line

    This is where the product will be trimmed.

    Bleed Area

    If the image or colour on your project reaches the edge of the page, please extend past an extra 0.125” to account for bleed and add crop marks.
